DESCRIPTION:Do not confuse this with Wimbledon Park\, that is being sold to the Lawn Tennis Association\, or Royal Wimbledon. This is Wimbledon Common GC which I believe shares uses the same course as Royal Wimbledon\, it definitely does with London Scottish Golf Club. Wimbledon Common starts at the 10th if you have played at London Scottish. \nFor more information talk to Alan\, Adrian\, John\, or Gavin\, they played they played the course during the London Scottish Golf Day in 2022. \nCoffee and bacon roll beforehand. \nFirst tee time is 10:00am. \nFrom their website . . . . . . . . \nClub Founded in 1908\nThe Wimbledon Town Golf Club was founded at a meeting held at the Wimbledon Hill Hotel (now the Dog and Fox) on February 20th 1908. Membership was limited to 100 residents of Wimbledon and the entrance fee and annual subscription at one guinea each. The Common course was also being played (as it is now) by London Scottish Golf Club\, and a ladies’ golf club that was absorbed by Royal Wimbledon in 1930. \nIt is a local rule that all golfers on Wimbledon Common must wear plain pillar-box red coloured tops\, to make them more visible to other users of this public land. We can provide these for sale\, or for hire. Denim wear of any kind is not permitted. \nPlease make yourself aware of the local rules by visiting the website. There are some interesting rules and it will help keep you and the public safe.
