A very hot day at Pine Ridge on 31st<\/sup> July. The summer arrived. Three new members, Nick Simmonds, Andy Wooldridge and Darren Snell, were among the 17 that played.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a symmetry to the result to that in 2017 when Peripatos last visited in that the individual winner was not part of the winning team therefore went home without a Peripatos Gold Pin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were plenty of 40+ scores returned but the highlight of the day was the tale of the missing phone. On the front 9 the bracket on John Slocombe\u2019s trolley that held his phone broke. This meant that he had to look after his phone in his pocket or in\/on his trolley. By the 12th<\/sup> as he ventured out of the trees for the umpteenth time he noticed he no longer had his phone. His team started to ring his phone hoping to hear his phone. After a while John said \u201cdon\u2019t bother my phone is on silent.\u201d. Quite reasonably John decided to abandon his team, retrace his steps in the hope of finding it. Still no phone! 6 holes later, he and Charlie grabbed a buggy to go out to search further. Still no phone! The ever helpful Charlie suggested John search his bag again. Phone found!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
