After a fortnight or more of golf dodging rain, we had a dry day with a tricky breeze. There were preferred lies on the fairways which were hard leading to some spectacular drives. Watch out Rory! Greens were a little inconsistent probably due to the wind when at the top of the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The views were far reaching. I am not sure we managed to correctly pick out the various conurbations, out there somewhere were, Woking, Bracknell, Reading, Slough, Maidenhead and Basingstoke. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The clubhouse (tent) was dry, the coffee a DIY affair but the bacon rolls were provided on time. It was fine for the day but not great after the round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All in all, the inclusion of Clandon appeared to be a success. Phew, I was anticipating another Rookwood. If we visit again maybe we should retire to the pub down the road after the round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
