Postponements

Should it become necessary for a match to be rescheduled due to a course closure for whatever reason, the match will be rearranged to a mutually convenient and suitable date before the end of season. If unable to do so, a draw is presumed.

If the course is closed on the day of the match or during play by the club, or by the captains’ mutual agreement the following applies. Preferably the match is rescheduled, if that is not possible all outstanding holes will be counted as drawn

The process and timescale for rescheduling a match is;

  • Within 7 days of a match being called off the host club provide 3 alternative dates to the opposition.
  • 14 days thereafter the date for the match to be played passed to the chair of the committee.
  • NOTE: The match does not have to be played within the above period, just rescheduled.

In the event of a course being open but as “carry only”, and that either team cannot raise a team on that basis, the match must be rescheduled.

If it is not possible to complete all fixtures before the end of season, matches not played will be scored as drawn.
