2018 Final Tally

A Few Facts

  1. Five of the six venues were played. Hartley Wintney was a complete wash out, only afterwards did I hear that it is best not to play there until the better weather.
  2. Average turnout was 17, with a high of 22 at Puttenham.
  3. Three new players were introduced by members and asked to be added to the ‘members’ distribution list.
  4. Average cost of a day was £39, excluding lunch on the final day at Cowdray but including the full English at Littlehampton.
  5. A total of 2,719 Stableford points were scored over 88 rounds at an average of 30.9.
  6. Generally prizes on the day were shared among 5 or 7 players.
  7. Terry Deyoung and Chris Grimes managed to pick up the most ‘gold pins’.

NOTE: No one could win two awards for the season therefore there has been some poetic licence taken with the above.

The Slocombe Special – Adrian Hoar for Louisa’s cutting of Adrian’s fairway before Littlehampton day.
