Haywards Heath – 2024
A new venue for Peripatos and a very pleasant surprise.
The fairways being lined with nicely maturing trees while the greens were firm and ran true. A pleasant place to walk, chat and play.
Having had a look at their website Charlie decided that bacon sandwiches were due to us therefore on arrival endeavoured to order one for himself and Mr Slocombe. Seven others decided they would as well. However they all now owe £6 as I had arranged a golf only fee to fit with the £40-£50 cost of the day.
The other parameter I try to stick to is travel time of an hour from Liphook. Google and Waze suggested and hour and 5 mins. That may have been correct if there weren’t so many tractors, lorries, et al on roads which had zero overtaking opportunities.
Overall a good day and one that all thought worth repeating in 2025.
