2022 Cottesmore Result
Despite 2nd June being the first full day of the Platinum Jubilee 13 players ventured over to Cottesmore, a course that no one had played or played more than once.
Sitting on the balcony overlooking the course beforehand most of us thought it looked in good condition, picturesque and forgiving (wide fairways with just a few large trees).
Four hours later, having a drink and comparing notes the only things we appeared to have got right was that the course was in good condition and picturesque! Trees appeared between ball and green more often than they ought to, most of the greens were up turned saucers, with a pace difficult to master.
Nearest the pin on the 17th beat the group, no one managed to stay on the green and several put more than one ball in the pond. Just two scores beat 30!
